Keeping My Fingers Crossed
Mon Jan 24 2005

After another virtually sleepless night last night, I curtailed my propensity towards sleeping most of the day away and am approaching the evening with something close to exhaustion filling my mind. I also took a melatonin about 20 minutes ago, which I’m hoping will go far towards having me asleep within the next 45 minutes to an hour.

I’m tired of being tired, and am taking aggressive actions to discontinue the cycle. Hopefully these steps I’m taking will work. If not, I’ve got a couple items I could crochet on hand, or a good book I’m in the middle of. Push comes to shove, I do like I did over the weekend and spend the night time doing laundry and baking brownies. I may have hated being awake all night, but the family thoroughly enjoyed waking up to freshly baked brownies in the morning!

We are gearing up for the twin’s 15th birthday extravaganza this weekend. They will be having a couple friends stay the night Friday, and plan to have an electronics filled weekend ahead of them. As they have both been restricted from TV for the past couple weeks, they are REALLY looking forward to this. Hubby and I have been in search for the ideal gifts for the boys. We found a few things for #2, but still have to pick up something for #1. He is the most difficult of the three boys to buy for. Getting information out of him as far as what he likes or would like to have is like pulling teeth from an alligator.

On Friday we also have a pre-inspection for the house in preparation for moving. We have been working on the house a bit at a time for a while now, and by the time it comes to move we are hoping that we only need to do a cursory wipe down of appliances, and once over with the vacuum cleaner and mop. We should know more on Friday.

Now… time to try to fall asleep. Wish me luck!

I like the pic of the doggie, it is so pretty.
I also think the paws are cute too.
    Have a good rest.

Hey, this is a nice theme you have going in here! Sleeplessness... I know it well. I have yet to come up with the foolproof combination of factors to eliminate it altogether.... but Melatonin is on my list too!!!
