Class
Tue Jan 11 2005

Tonight was my first night of class, and based on that I'm thinking that it will be interesting to say the least.

While there are three students in the classroom, I'm the only one taking the intro to C++ portion of the class. The other two gentlemen are in the second part of the course. As I am it, my instructor has given me the option to come in earlier for the class, or on Saturdays if need be, and he will basically handle it like a lab rather than a traditional class.

While I would prefer to have other students to coordinate with and occasionally get together with to work things out, I think this may be OK. Hubby has expressed an interest in learning this stuff, so maybe we could work on it together at home. We would get that whole two birds with one stone deal, only with only one of us paying tuition and getting a grade for it.

Of course he said that about the Visual Basic course last term and nothing came of it, so we will wait and see on that issue.

We have our frame walk through on the house tomorrow. We are both excited to say the least. I have found every time I close my eyes tonight in search of sleep I see what I picture in my mind for the house. Hopefully sitting out here pounding away on the 'puter for a while will help to bring me closer to sleep when I try again.

I have finished all three afghans I made for the boys, and I'm working on a scarf now for #2 out of the leftover yarn from his. He loves the color so much that I'm making every bit of what remains. I need to take Hubby to look at colors and pick out his next. I'm going to lay the blame for all this directly on ImNotLisa's lap. My funding of the local Michaels, Joanne's and any other place I can find yarn is her fault!

Of course, I can't get Hubby to believe this yet, but maybe eventually if I keep repeating it!

She HAS been responsible for some major yarn purchases hasn't she! :-)

I'll vouch for you to your hubby.

    It WAS ImNotLisa's fault!!!

    ;-)

Ditto that! ImNotLisa is a great motivator. :)

I had not picked up my crochet hook in more than ten years and since the start of October I have crocheted a shawl and 10 chenille hat and scarf sets. LOL

I made my grandkids all afgans one year.. I had to make 5 of them. Cuz I also made the babies small ones with sleepers to match. They turned out too cute.. I loved the pattern and the colors. All bright stripes on an angle.. turned out nice.. I bet yours are wonderful..
I love them. My daughter taught me to make one using 2 colors at once.. Have you seen those.. They are so neet.. But different stitch .. hard to explain .. not a normal stitch.
But sure are pretty .. one color on one side and another on the other. They take a long time to make too
    Longer than the normals ones
There are also some you make using a broom handle.. I want to learn that one
I can't see well enough these days to make things I used to
    Darn it
