Whew!
Tue Dec 14 2004

After spending the better part of the last 5 days with my nose in my book, I’m finally through the final and done with this class. I’m reasonably certain I did well on the test, I will know for sure when I hear from my teacher.

On a less positive note, my Mom came down a couple days ago as my great aunt’s health has been failing. She passed away at around noon today, and the funeral is scheduled for next week. My great aunt was an amazing woman. She lived with Cerebral Palsy all her life after a forceps delivery at birth, and had suffered a broken back many years ago. She was the youngest of 4 children, had three children of her own, and outlived three husbands and her three brothers. She was the second patient at the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Portland Oregon in the first part of the last century. She was a woman of great faith and great inner strength, and will be missed by our family.

Sometimes it seems that good news is destined to come in on the heels of bad, or vice versa. I'm glad that you feel good about your test, and that fate permitted you to finish it before having to deal with bad news. My condolences on your family's loss.
