This, That, The Other and Something Else
Wed Dec 08 2004

I finally have my computer back after a few days of no connectivity. We had things moved around for a few days, and during that time my internet connection was MIA. It was a nice break actually. It gave me the chance to read a few dozen books!

#1 has his first swim meet tomorrow. Hubby will be taking #3 to it, and I will be here at home with a grounded #2, and then taking him to class with me before the meet is over. My last class is next Tuesday, so I will be able to attend as many swim meets as possible after that.

I’ve been continuing on with preparations for Christmas. I’ve been mulling over what size of turkey to get. While there will only be 9 of us here, we like leftovers and turkey soup, so I need to keep that in mind when making my purchase. I also need to keep in mind the size of the pot I will be brining it in and not go too overboard with getting a big bird.

It looks like we will be decking the halls this weekend. While “The Boys” go out to get a tree, I’ll whip up something that isn’t low cal or healthy in any way shape or form for us to nibble on while adorning the tree. I strongly suspect that chocolate will factor largely in whatever I make, and the words Toll House has been in my mind during these thoughts.

Damn, now I have the munchies, and there is no chocolate in the house. I’ll have to settle for egg nog.

I have never brined a turkey. Does that make is roast better?

Mark got our tree last Sunday, but we won't be putting it up until this weekend. I have to clear all my sewing stuff out of the living room first. OY!

I'm still debating on the turkey myself, though all those leftovers were delightful. For a whole week after I hardly had to plan a meal.
