My Teacher ROCKS
Thu Sep 02 2004

I had e-mailed my teacher yesterday about my bringing one of the older boys to class. The reply I got was that pressure was being applied to her boss, and as things roll down hill, also to her. The College's position is that, they are guests in this Army facility. The Army has this rule for whatever reason, and should the College not abide by the rule they potentially could be asked/directed to leave.

My teacher replied to me with the offer to cancel class tonight, then pick up on Tuesday where we would have been tonight. I had told her the other day that Hubby gets home this weekend (50 hours and 41 minutes from this writing, but who's anxious? ME!) so I won't have the issues with the kids next week.

Does she ROCK or what?? I wonder if there is a teacher sainthood I could nominate her for? I suppose I would have to be Catholic though, in order to nominate her for that? Damn.

So, tonight I'm here with the kids. It's 9:00 and I am herding everyone in the direction of lala land. I got some melatonin at the store today, and with luck, I will be asleep at a reasonable hour tonight. I really need the sleep, so I hope it comes soon and is not elusive.

I spent the day split between homework, bills, shopping and making some more plum butter (#2 has gone nuts for it and is eating it almost faster than I can make it). I've got more plums to process tomorrow or this weekend, and some nectarines to can and pickles to make also.

But now, time to start getting mentally ready for sleep.

How do you do it?? Between your activities and CovertOps' activities, I'm worn out just reading.

Your kidding me. She actually canceled class for the entire class of students for one student? WOW I guess your kids ended up effecting everyone after all. If they would have been left alone the rest of the class would have never even noticed.

Your teacher is a one-in-a-million person if she'd do that just for you. Amazing. I'm glad that that issue is taken off your chest, so you have more energy to worry about other things that need worrying about.
