And I'm not talking the Disney character.

On mornings Hubby is at Guard, I’m typically woken up by the kids. Specifically, I was woken up by the kids fighting over the TV in the front room.

This morning, I’d had enough. The boys have now seen a side of me that they’ve only seen once or twice. They have been banished to their rooms to clean them, and not to come out until they are done. With luck, their meds will have kicked in by the time they are done. Oh GOD I hope their meds have kicked in by the time they are done.

Meanwhile, to calm down, I’m reading e-mail and writing in here. I came across a cool link in one e-mail I thought I’d share.

This is something I've always found interesting.

OK, I think I can feel my blood pressure approaching normal parameters now. Maybe I’ll try going to check on the kids.

I’m taking the duct tape with me.

Honey, I really feel for you.
When my sons were young, I was in the same situation that you are in now.
My solution was to put the son being bad in a corner. He was to stay there for five minutes and think about what he was doing. Then he could come out, but ONLY if he was going to act right. If he had to go back into the corner, I added another minute to it.
One time he thought he was going to out do me and he ended up standing in the corner almost an hour.
I told him that he either obeyed the rules or he could stand there as long as he wanted to, even all day long.....HIS choice.
I even sat behide him and read a book, to make sure he stayed there.
Finally he broke and decided to obey the rules.
    It worked.
We never had to repeat that again.

    Honey

    p.s....
One time we heard RD counting.
I asked him if he was counting the minutes.
He said no, that he was counting the lines int the cob web in that corner.

Ohhh man if i could give you valium I would. Duct tape can always be arranged.

I read the link...I don't like 'you guys' as much as I do 'ya'll'...in fact, we joke here in Oklahoma that you're not an Oklahoman unless you use the word 'ya'll' once a day.

RYN: I love you for sneaking a Hugh movie recommendation into my diary. :o) I'll keep my eyes open for it, we don't have a Blockbuster in our small town though there is one relatively nearby. If they don't have it at our little grocery store/video store, I'll look for it the next time I'm in the "big city". ;o)

Tenterfield is hardly the "outback" in Australia.
It is in a region known as the New England Tableland in northern New South Wales.
It's interesting country nevertheless, cattle and sheep country with a much higher rainfall then the true "outback".
Watching the movie clips on the "Boy From Oz" site is interesting.
Hugh Jackman does Peter Allen better than Peter Allen did.
Interesting indeed, and obviously great entertainment.

An Alaskan cruise? Yeah, right. Unless, of course, you are offering to fund it for me ...?
