Hump Day

I get to run to the store before class today, doesn't that sound fun?

Under normal conditions I don't mind doing the grocery shopping, but I don't like to do it under a time crunch. Of course shopping under said time crunch eliminates the possibilities for impulse purchases, so I suppose that is a good thing.

Until the store opens I will be transplanting the plants that came in the mail yesterday. That should more than keep me busy for a while. With any luck I'll get it done quickly and have time to kick back a little bit.

Watching American Idol last night was like a flashback to my early teens. Picture it, 1977 and every 13 year old girl in my school was ga-ga over Barry Manilow. With him as a guest host last night and all the songs I listened to over and over and over and over again as a kid being sung, it was quite a surreal experience.

I forced myself to watch Clueless afterwards to flush the songs out of my mind before going to sleep. I don’t even want to think of the dreams I would’ve had with those floating around in my mind while I slept.

Well, it’s time to go play in the dirt.

I love Barry...... I guess this means I am a sappy romantic. I admit it.

The girls were "ga-ga" over Manilow? Hadn't they seen pictures of him? Didn't they know about his nose?
