Fried Day
Fri Apr 16 2004

The end of the week comes with a fanfare of crackling papers reminding me that I will be doing homework all weekend. Well, at the weather will be cloudy and/or rainy all weekend, so I won’t feel like I’m missing out too much.

With rain expected for the weekend, it only figures that tomorrow will be the Fishing Derby. #1 has made sure that all the fishing poles are in good working order, and now he is pestering me to take him to get worms. That will be for later today though.

Right now I’m taking a breather from having been at school all morning (with #1 in tow, thankfully this is the last day of Spring Break). My breather will consist of attending to laundry. I’m saving doing the bills for a “break” later today. Doesn’t that sound relaxing?

Laundry. Ugh. Wednesday at noon there were no dirty items of laundry to be found in the house. Then the guys got home from their camping trip. I swear that without female supervision men get far dirtier and much more stinky than if we were there overseeing them. It takes a mom or wife to be there and keep the boys and men from wading through toxic waste, take showers at least occasionally and remind them to use deodorant.

Of course, I’m pretty sure they have more fun when we are not along. Well, more fun if they are out with a group of other men or boys. I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be more fun if they were out alone, but you never know!

OK, I’ve breathed enough. Time to get back to school work.

I can see your hubby starting a huge new floor covering craze. Get him to get the rights on "Carptet Denim" now before somebody else beats him to it!
