While I've felt this way for a long time, I never actually voiced it in my diary until yesterday. The person(s) who invented the eraser needs to be nominated for Sainthood. This person would be the patron saint of math students everywhere. At the very least, he or she would be my patron saint.
I won't go into the whole "but I'm not Catholic" issue in this entry.
That being said, MagicWhiskey makes a good point with her comment:
What about if they were invented by a group of people? How do you split sainthood?
In that case the whole darn group would be nominated. A Saint committee, that works for me!
Maybe the inventor of the mechanical pencil should be included for nomination too? I need to think more about that one.
