What a Day
Wed Feb 11 2004

Hubby took the day off today so he could help get Mom & Dad settled in when they arrived. It was a good thing he did. It turns out after the freeze we had last month that some of the pipes in the 5th wheel burst. He and Dad spent many hours this afternoon and evening re-plumbing the rig. He had not gotten home yet when I left for school around 6:30.

In other news...

#3 came home today excited over something he got at school. A tooth brush. But not just any tooth brush! February is Dental Awareness Month, for those of you who don't have kids in elementary school to get excited about and rush home to tell you correct brushing techniques. Today, the kids were given a Fresh & Go tooth brush.

What a great idea! These things would be perfect for traveling! I'm kind of thinking about getting a few for #1 & #2 to take to school to brush after lunch (School lunches are not conductive to having braces!).

The most surprising part of the day had to have been at school for me. We FINALLY got our tests back. I did MUCH better than I thought. I managed to pull a 70 on the test, and currently have an 83% for the grade.

It kind of scares me that I'm doing so well with this. I feel totally lost and completely helpless with the material. In Trig and to a lesser extent the first Calculus class I felt at least familiar with the material, and comfortable with some of it. This stuff? No way. All I can say is thank GOD we don't have a comprehensive final for this class! I've got a few homework assignments to turn in and two tests and that's it. My next test is (I think) on the 23rd, then my final on March 3rd and the class is over. It SO doesn't seem like it should be over this soon!

OK, time to catch up on diaries, and then hopefully I will be sleepy enough to fall asleep. I'm also hoping that I can read enough of other people's lives to chase all the numbers from my head for the evening!

Seems like we both had plumbing problems of a sort yesterday!

What did I say? You and TraumaMama traditionally do much better than you think you have. I'm pleased you passed after all, and genuinely do not envy you this course. I loathe Calculus.

Good job on the 83%. I am so happy I didn't have to go above Math 95 for my degree.
