That Time Of The Month
Sat Feb 07 2004

No, not what you were thinking. It is Guard weekend. You remember that ad? One weekend a month, two weeks a year? Yep, Uncle Sam offers PMS type employment for people willing to raise their right hand and promise to protect our country from enemies foreign and domestic.

During Hubby's Guard weekends, we generally have a weekend of laziness here at the house. The kids and I really don't have anywhere to go, or anything to do (other than housework and homework), so we kick back and relax.

Today, to the chagrin of the twins, they will be cleaning up a mess in the back yard they have indirectly caused. They have been instructed to do certain things, which they have neglected to do. This has resulted in a mess that should take up a few hours of their afternoon and wear them out sufficiently for them to fall asleep fairly early tonight. I can definitely live with that.

My folks are coming down for a visit later this week, so Hubby and I will be getting the 5th wheel out and ready for them. We are hoping that the remote to the DVD player that we lost last time we used the 5th wheel will be found at that time. We have looked just about everywhere for that darn thing. I think it has disappeared to the same nameless void that socks disappear to during the laundry cycle.

Speaking of laundry… I'd better get the next load going. Yippie.

Okay, I give up..... HOW do you get music to play on your diary?
Ozone tried to show me once, but it didn't work for everyone. I think because everyone did not have the right plug in. Real player or what not.
And where is there a reliable site to link to?
I WANNA have music TOOOOOOOOOO !

    (What a whiner)

    Y.

    Alli,
I want to thank you for your comment in my diary.
I wish I could send him somewhere, but him being 26 years old.....it would make it kidnapping. lol
Heck, I'd do that if it would really help him, but he would never go along with that. Getting him away from her is very hard. He sees her as a homeless person who needs a dog to talk to and he's the dog. *told to me by RD, as it was said by JW to RD*

As for laundry, I do a load EVERY day.
    And...
you do have a beautiful diary.

    Honey
    P.s...
    Thanks for the suggestion tho.
It sounded good to me. :)

    Alli,
I'll have to read your entry tomorrow, it's late and I just got home and need to get up early again. I am passing a message from Sal: She can't get in your diary. Check out my last entry for her message...might be the music?

Hey, I popped over initially to say hello since I saw you were a new "friend." I saw the entry about "how to" and had to try the music thing. It worked PERFECTLY the first time after I followed your directions. Now I have MUSIC!! Anyway, thanks for the great instructions.

How helpful of you to offer tutorials in your diary entry! The DD admin people should pay you for providing customer service!
    Love,
    E.L.

A word of warning on linking to things. For sound (and pictures) you're always best if you download a copy into your own storage space rather than link to somebody else's copy. The only exception to this is if the site invites you to link back to them.

Linking to someone else's stuff steals from their bandwidth, and depending the site, they can end up being charged extra or going over their bandwidth allotment and getting shut down temporarily. It is also possible for the other person to change the item you've linked to to something rude or pornographic to get even (I've seen both done), which you'd end up displaying in your diary.
