Morning of the Mouth
Thu Jan 15 2004

Both #1 & #2 have orthodontist appointments this morning, so I let them sleep in a little bit. That is a good thing since they were up until almost midnight last night.

That is the worst thing about hubby being gone, on nights I have school the kids don't get to bed until late. It would be easier if they were younger, then I would just get a babysitter. The twins are at the age though, that I believe they would make the babysitter's life miserable. So I use bribery to keep them in line. Since the twins are restricted from TV, that is the bribery used. They get a couple hours of TV twice a week (while Hubby is gone) in exchange for good behavior while I'm at school.

It's working so far, except for the inability to enforce bed time.

Has there ever been a child who willingly went to bed on time?

You could always duct tape them into bed before you leave, lol.

Make that 1002 uses for the grey sticky stuff

I won't even ask what you normally use the handcuffs for *evil grins*

I had to laugh at the duct tape.
I used to tell the boys that if they did not stop qurreling with each other that I was gonna tape their lips together. lol
They would start laughing at that idea and forget that they were arguing with each other. :)

you know I have the same problem with my kids and they are younger and I have thought about duct tape on several occasions just so I could get some sleep. I actually came close one night. I even had the duct tape in my hand but I couldn't go through with it.

One set of handcuffs? No prob! Cuff one kid around his right wrist, lace the other cuff behind the leg of the bed, then cuff the other kid around his left wrist.

    Simple when you've had practice.

On The Apprentice, I thought sure that there was going to be a cat fight between the women. But...
don't give up hope, there still could be one.

I have no idea what The Apprentice could be. Sounds interesting so if you could zap me the day and time of the show I'll give it a view.

That's funny that someone thought the pot calling the kettle black was a racial slur.
My grandma used the term when she thought someone was being a hypocrite.

I have to admit I've caught the reality tv bug. The ones that I am addicted to and try to watch on a regular basis are Average Joe and The bachelor. This time around it's Average Joe Hawaii and The Bachelorette.
