Melting
Wed Jan 07 2004

Our yard is covered is about 6 inches of white mush, the roads are filled with a few inches of gray mush, rain is occasionally frequenting this corner of the world, and it is cold outside. Ah, the downfall of snowy weather, the melting stage.

The kids are out of school for the day, but so far I'm not so lucky. I will have class tonight, after the temperatures drop and the mush in the roads turn to ice. Aren't I lucky? At least power is back on now (after being out for a day) so the kids will be able to entertain themselves while I'm at school. Since they will be up late, I suspect I will let them sleep in a bit tomorrow then take them to school. Maybe they will get lucky and schools will be delayed for a couple hours and it won't be an issue.

I can hope!

Hubby left this morning for a training course, and should be back around the 27th or so. The kids think they will be able to get a break from their TV restriction, but boy do I have news for them! I will just keep reminding them that if they bring their grades up by when report cards come out next month, they will get some of those privileges back.
