Is It Friday Yet?
Wed Dec 17 2003

Wednesday. I can’t believe it’s ONLY Wednesday. I want Friday to be here already! I’m having a hard time not telling the kids to see what their reaction will be!

We are planning to go see LOTR Friday evening. We know the kids won’t be able to sleep that night due to excitement, so we might as well let them do something other than bounce off the walls!

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the next school term for myself. I had wanted to start taking two classes next term, but with as hard as Calculus kicked my butt this time around, I’m thinking maybe I’ll just stick with one class per term until I’m through it.

I did hear back again from my teacher. On my final I got 156 out of 200, the second highest score on the test. When I went in to take it, I used all the time I had for my class, plus the time for the class after mine. I was in there about 4.5 hours, and really wished I had another hour or two to apply to the test to work on the problems I didn’t get to. I’m also really wishing I had spent more time applied to studying the items I didn’t think would be on the test. Since my teacher barely mentioned them in class, I didn’t think they would be on the test. Boy was I wrong!

I need to stop stressing it. It is over and I need to let it go. Of course that doesn’t alleviate my trepidation over the upcoming second Calculus class!

Oh well, I just need to find a way to drop the stress and focus on the excitement of the upcoming trip!

Why am I not surprised you got the second highest score in the class?

I know people who waited in line (at the IMAX) for longer than the film ran (which, at 3 1/2 hours is saying something). Your cover story isn't all that farfetched.
