Home Sick
Tue Oct 28 2003

#2 is home sick again today. Hubby and I are also feeling like we are coming down with this bug. Oh joy. The way this seems to progress, #3 should be home with it next week or the week after.

We have our first test on Wednesday. Our instructor assures us it will be a short one, only 8 questions. She refers to it as a "mini-test". I guess it will be more than a quiz but less than a test? I'll find out tomorrow.

Today is definitely a nap day. No doubt about it. Sleep last night was non-existent, so sleep today will be mandatory. I sure would like to know why my body finds it so easy to fall asleep and stay asleep during the day, but not at night. Why couldn't it have done this when I worked the graveyard shift years ago? Oh well, it gives me an excuse to not do laundry!

Ah, laundry. I'm eagerly awating Friday when the repair man wil be out to fix the washer. Washing by hand is a pain in the posterior. I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if I had the proper tools to do it by hand. As it is, without them, getting towels, sheets, jeans and sweatshirts wrung out enough to go into the dryer is laughable.

I slept for a bit on the couch this afternoon. I know what you mean about it being so much easier to sleep during the day sometimes than at night. (it sometimes takes me more than an hour to fall asleep. Did I say sometimes? I meant most of the time.)
