Tarzan & Survivor
Sun Oct 05 2003

So, I caught the new series premier of Tarzan tonight. What do I think of it?

Yummy. Definitely yummy.

Former Calvin Klein model Travis Fimmel, who supposedly caused a traffic jam in London with some of the Billboards and other street ads for Calvin Klein underwear, comes through well in the show. Not many lines, but that may be a good thing until we see more of his acting capabilities. Definite eye candy though!

With co-stars like Sarah Wayne Callies , Mitch Pileggi (a.k.a. Skinner from The X-Files), and Lucy Lawless (Xena fans rejoice her return to the screen according to my 13 year olds), there is potential for a series that is fun to watch. As long as the writers don't get TOO campy with the storylines, it may pull through well.

On a different note, I FINALLY watched last Thursday's Survivor. Wow. Has this been a one sided game or what? The teams have definitely not been equal as far as cohesiveness and team-work goes. It should start to get very interesting. On one side, the members of the Morgan tribe that are left definitely seem to be the most likely to come together into a strong team. If one of them can find a way to turn around the attitude of Butt-Crack-Boy, they may find themselves catching up to the other team. On the other hand, the Drake team seems to really have come together from day one into a strong team. I would be interested to see more of the social interactions between the members to see where the strength's are on that team. I do admit I wouldn't mind seeing them lose an immunity challenge in order to get rid of one member that I find incredible annoying. It should get better and better as the episodes continue. Still gotta say I'm rooting for Rupert and Sandra.
