#1 is extremely excited. Not about school, but about all the new girls he will be meeting. He fancies himself quite the ladies man.
#2 is excited to see his old friends and teachers, but hasn't quite developed the same level of excitement over girls yet. He is teetering on the edge of puberty, and while girls are OK as friends, they still have cooties.
#3 is excited about everything. School, friends, being able to ride his bike to school this year, shadows, dust, flowers, squirrels... I think I'd better check to be sure he had his meds this morning before he bounces off the walls too many more times.
Me? I'm excited they will be back in school. I will be able to get my chores done in a reasonable amount of time, without having to stop every 2 or 3 minutes to address the emergency of the moment. I will be able to do my homework in one sitting. I will be able to read my comics... OK, only after the other stuff is done. I will be able to possibly start on the quilt Hubby and I have been talking about me making for about 3 years now. Yea, yea, I'm not banking on that one. It might happen. Not until after payday, but it might happen.
