The dishwasher was empty. I told #3 to clear the dishes out of the sink, then went to the back of the house to put some things away.
When I came back to the kitchen, I found the sink empty. All the dishes had been taken out of the sink and put onto the counter, stove, table, and every other horizontal surface above the ground. The dishwasher was still empty.
I should have remembered I was talking to one of my sons. I should have learned in the past that if I do not give explicit step by step instructions on a task, that it will not be done.
I will remember next time!
