He came home with 7 berries.
Now he doesn't understand why I can't just make a small pie with these. Oh well. I suppose an apple pie or cobbler will be just as good.
I will probably head out one day this week with the kids in search of a nice big berry patch. I would like to pick enough to make a pie and freeze enough for a couple pies this winter.
There has been a blizzard of e-mails flurrying between my Brother (Oscar), my Dad and myself. We have been discussing the truck & 5th wheel Hubby and I checked out yesterday. We will need to buy a mattress and some chairs for it. I think we will be taking it out for a camping test the weekend of the 30th. Hubby has a friend who will be in our home town for the weekend that he would like to visit with. We have not seen this friend and his family since they moved back east a few years ago. I just need to get online and find a place in the area for us to camp at for that weekend. I'm hoping to find a campground that is not completely booked since it is the holiday weekend.
