While I don't generally have problems with the kids (just about anything can be hidden with enough ranch dressing or ketchup), I do have difficulties getting Hubby to eat veggies. I am safe if I serve corn or green beans. I have had success with broccoli and artichokes. He will on occasion eat a salad. That is about it.
I have found though, that with enough guilt, I can get Hubby to eat a bite or two of some of the veggies I grow in the garden. Oh, we are fine with the salad items, but the squash and zucchini need to be served with a large side helping of guilt.
I have learned that with Hubby, there is not enough ketchup or guilt in the world to get him to eat peas, tomatoes or asparagas. I haven't tried a few other of the less common veggies that I love. I figure I'm pushing my luck enough with the other veggies, I'm not about to try to serve him turnip greens, collards, beets (or their greens). Basically, anything green except mint chocolate chip ice cream is questionable.
#1 just reminded me that Hubby likes guacamole. I pointed out to him that Avacadoes are a fruit, not a veggie.
