Last night in class we were given a problem to determine the timing of a pendulum arc. All night I had dreams about a room full of Grandfather Clocks and I had to go to each one with pencil, paper and my calculator and make sure the pendulum was long enough for an arc which would enable the clock to keep accurate time.
I think I've had enough of Grandfather Clocks for several lifetimes!
#1 seems to have settled back into the family routine well. He is having no problems adjusting to the routine of being home. I, on the other hand, find it very difficult to adjust my homework routine while he is home. It seems just as I get into a good mental rhythm with doing the math, he interrupts for one of many reasons. It will take some adjustment, but I think we will work out a routine that will flow smoothly. At least until his brothers get out of school on the 19th, then I will have to find a new routine.
Meanwhile, we are getting excited as once again it is Drum Corps season. We will be heading down to Vancouver on July 3 for the Sounds of Summer show. It will be the first time in many years that it is located back at the field where Hubby and I marched when we were active in the sport. Hubby and I both enjoy these shows. They are more like reunions with great entertainment for us. The kids are even learning to enjoy it. Particularly the twins who are at the age to notice the skimpy costumes the ladies of the colorguard wear!
