Home Coming
Thu Jun 05 2003

#1 gets home this evening. It is needless to say that #2 & #3 are quite distracted due to this! He is due home around 7 this evening. That is 12 hours from now. I strongly suspect that those next 12 hours will seem like months for the boys!

We are all quite excited for him to come home. #2 wants to give him a welcome home party, so we have a cake and decorations are in the make by the two boys. We will be going down to visit family on Saturday so Josh can see the rest of the clan. This coincides with the Portland Rose Festival. We are hoping to get over to see all the floats after the parade. We had briefly thought about going down early enough to catch the parade, then remembered dealing with the traffic in the past and quickly changed our minds. While I love a parade (go ahead, start humming the song to yourself), I HATE traffic. Particular when I'm driving our van which seems to be comprised with a few blind spots about the size of Australia. Since Hubby has finals next week, I will be driving while he studies.

Nope, I'm not going any where near that area of Portland!

I have a ton of homework to do myself between now and Monday, then a test on Wednesday to prepare for. I'm a bit anxious about the test. My instructor informed us that it will be over the first two chapters in the book, but so far his lessons during class time seem to not be following the chapters. I have been unable to find any of his lesson material in those chapters. Preparing for this test should be interesting to say the least!

Hugh is looking good in this picture!
Thanks for the link for the Rose Festival Parade. I am working with that new volunteer organization tomorrow night and was trying to figure out how bad the parking was going to be. Your link saved me a search. Looks like I will be out of the way.
I'm glad #1 will be home tonight. :)
