Lazy Holiday Weekend
Sun May 25 2003

Well, other than the yard work that left my legs screaming at me today, it has been a wonderfully relaxed and lazy weekend. Even the weather has been cooperating. By no means a heat wave, but overcast and comfortable enough to not have to bundle up when you go outside.

#1 comes home in 11 days. We are all quite excited and anxious for him to get home. I'm afraid that he will probably be quite bored for the two weeks following that though. His brothers are still in school until the 19th, so he will be without any playmates during the day until then. I'm pretty sure he and I can find things to do though. I have some things I would like to do out in the yard, perhaps I will recruit him to assist me.

I have several rose bushes in my front yard. They are not at all happy where they are. They only get a few hours of sun in the morning, and live in shade for the rest of the day. I'm considering moving them either to the side of the house, or to the back yard along the fence where they will get more sun. I'm not sure which yet, I will decide after I have a chance to walk through and evaluate the space in both areas.

#3 I think is determined to wear the wheels on his roller blades down to nubs. He never wears shoes any more (unless he goes to school), it is barefoot indoors and the blades outdoors. It's murder on the trampoline.
