College Day for #2
Thu May 22 2003

The 7th graders in #2's school today had an adventure of the educational kind. They have been doing a class project which looks into the requirments they will need to have in order to enter college after high school. Today they spent the day at one of the local universities seeing what a typical day as a college student is like. After school, Hubby came home and picked him up to go to class with his Dad at a different university.

The whole experience was wonderful for #2. He admits that he wishes they could've spent more time at the college, and he would love to do it again. Hopefully this will help direct him in that direction as he gets closer to going to colege for himself.

How wonderful for the young man! When I was in my preteens, I dreamt of nothing but college!
You asked about eating mangoes and papayas. Both have to be peeled. You peel them the normal way, with a veggie peeler, then you remove the seeds and fibrous bits from the papaya's core and slice the fruit up.
For mangoes, you slice the pieces off the seed. The seed is big, hard and fibrous and it's hard to get the flesh off it, so the last person gets to suck the juicy pulp off the seed.
Thanks for explaining what a sun break is!
    Love,
