Private Lynch
Fri Apr 18 2003

I had the opportunity to watch "Saving Private Lynch" this evening. Her story is definitely something that will stay on the minds of Americans for a long time.

What struck me deepest during this show, was the interviews with the rescued POW's from WW2. Private Lynch's rescue was the first to occur since the rescue of our soldiers from the Japanese internment camp during that war. It amazed me that all these men were so touched and emotionally moved by her rescue.

This is something I am definitely going to find when it is on again and be sure the kids watch it. They need to know that aspect of this war.
