The kids are excited. They have worms. They have power bait. They have pepsi. They are ready to go fishing! Of course, this being the case it is raining out. Not hard, yet, but a steady light drizzle. I think there is a universal rule that says the first day of the season you go fishing it has to rain. The same rule governs picnics, camping trips, hikes, trips to the zoo and most other outings.
I am choosing another path today. While the men go fishing... I'm going to get my nails done. That is my reward to myself for getting through this last week of nothing but math on my mind.
#2 got his report card yesterday. He got two C's, three B's and an A. He will be rewarded for this. We just have to find a good reward. #3 had an OK report card. He will be getting smaller rewards for the good grades he got. He has been made aware that if he had not gotten so many bad grades he would be getting a much bigger reward.
OK, I need to go find caffeine NOW.
