The Dreaded Dentist
Tue Mar 11 2003

The boys had dentist appointments this morning. It looks like they fortunately take after my brother in the "cavity resistant" teeth department. #3 unfortunately takes after Hubby's family in the "needs to wear braces" department. There is some question on whether or not #2 will need braces. While his teeth are straight and where they should be, they are too crowded. He might not need them now, but possibly will later. The "but" the dentist gave us was, if he wears braces for a short time now to make more room, he won't need them later.

So, they both have an orthodontist appointment in about a month for evaluations. We are lucky in that it appears that our insurance will cover a good chunk of the cost on this.

Since I am thinking about braces, I wanted to look into the invisiline type. I have heard that the amount of time using that type is less than the amount of time using traditional braces. Since I don't understand how this could be, I would like to know more about it. I don't suppose there is anyone who works in the dental field that read my diary? Nope, that would be too easy!
