The ever elusive sleep
Sat Mar 08 2003

Once again I find myself unable to go to sleep. I'm hoping a few Fuzzy Navel's will help to cure that.

The kids started their No Church campaign early this weekend. I told them I would consider it. It depends on how Hubby feels tomorrow. He has been sick for almost a month now. Instead of going to the doc to see if he has had several colds in a row versus mono, he prefers to stay here, be miserable and get mad at the rest of us if we try to live a normal life and make any sounds above a whisper.

I love my Hubby so much, but when he gets sick I really want to kick him in the butt. Several times. He is usually sick for much longer than he would be if he would just go in to see a doc. Instead he pulls this macho-wannabe crap and "suffers in silence". Except he isn't silent about it. While he is sick, the kids and I feel like we have to walk on egg shells the whole time as he is extremely sensitive to any sound when he is sick. Not to mention being quite photo sensitive. No noise, and no lights. If the kids have homework, they have to get it done before he gets home.

While he is sick this time, I think I will sleep on the couch or in #1's room. That way he doesn't get mad at me for being a restless sleeper and keeping him awake. I suppose it is a good thing I have had insomnia for the last few nights, it has allowed him to have 4 to 6 ours of uninterrupted sleep before I am able to submit to slumberland.

OK, enough bitching. Off to surf the web while I watch Kate & Leopold.
