Until next fall, I will only be taking one class per term. One math class at a time will give me the opportunity to devote lots of time to increase my comprehension. While I enjoy doing math, it is not an easy subject for me. What I need is a bigger sledge to hammer it into my brain.
In the fall, my schedule will (hopefully) get interesting. If I can find the classes that I need being offered during the hours the kids are in school, the fall will see me taking Chemistry along with my math class (either the second pre-calc., or the first analytical geometry/calc. class depending on what I can get into this summer).
Looking at all the classes I need to take, and based on my taking 2 classes while the kids are in school and one class during the summer, I have 2 years with this school until I can transfer to a 4 year school. There is a however in here. However, if I am reading the catalog correctly, with three additional classes I can have a double major of CIS & math.
I've been toying with the idea of doing this, that if the math classes I have coming up do not knock me on my butt. I would not necessarily be doing this with any career plans in mind, but more to see if I can. I'm not sure what all an associates in math will do for me other than give a boost to my self confidence.
OK, now that I've counted all the chickens before they've hatched, actually before they have even been layed, I will continue with my pipe dreams and look further into the different schools I can transfer to.
