I have decided that #3 is definitely getting his head shaved. I'm tired of the fight with him every day to comb it. If he won't take care of it, I will make it go away.
I have much the same philosophy regarding their rooms. If they don't keep their things put away, I make them disappear. Usually this is enough to inspire them to keep things picked up. There is usually once or twice a year that they forget this and I step in to remind them. For the record, I don't usually cause their favorite items to disappear. It is typically something that sits forgotten on their floor or under their bed for an extended time. If they don't miss it while it is clutter, they won't miss it if it goes away.
Well, the government did pay us on time for Hubby's regular paycheck. We are still waiting for the back pay he was promised he would get on the 19th. Hopefully it will come soon!
While I'm looking forward to Sunday, I'm sure the kids are not. I don't mind driving for a couple hours to hang out with a friend, then go shopping with another. The kids think this sounds monumentally boring. Go figure. I'm going to be sure to drive the van so they can watch movies. I'm also going to round up all their game boy games, make sure their are good batteries in their game boys, and have those on hand to aleviate the boredom they will undoubtedly experience while they wait for two women to finish trying on clothes! I plan to go hit Game Crazy today to see about picking up a couple new (albiet used) games for them to give them even more distractions, and possibly see about picking up a few comic books to give them another activity. Of course, getting the comics for them has nothing to do with my interest in comics. Just because I will be going to a comic book shop to look for a few back issues of the comic's I read does not mean I'm not getting them for the kids!
What?!?
