I can't drive... 55!
Sat Dec 28 2002

OK, Sammy Hagar flashback is over.

We drove a couple hours down to visit Hubby's family today. MIL LOVED her new TV. I got a chuckle after giving her the fruit cake. It seems she told EVERYBODY that she wanted a fruit cake for Christmas. She now has more fruit cake than she could eat in two lifetimes!

Saw LOTR The Two Towers again today. It was still as good as it was the first time. Viggo is such a cutie, I don't mind seeing either of the two movies out so far over and over.

While putting our Christmas stuff away yesterday, I came across the letter to Santa the kids wrote. This is how it went (No embellishment. Really!):

Dear Santa,
I hope you like the cookies my Dad made. They might be green, but I think they are good. This year I am hoping for a Bazoka with ammo. The REAL kind so I can pelt the girls next door with slush balls.

Here is the letter they got back ("Santa" always writes them back):

Dear #1, #2 & #3,
The cookies were wonderful and I enjoyed the egg nog.

Unfortunately the Elves don't make Bazookas, and since you didn't ask for anything else, I'm leaving underwear. Hope it fits!
-Santa

It was pure coincidence that the first presents they opened were socks and underwear.

The only thing I learned on those Saturday mornings was to be the first one up so I didn't have to suffer through another lame-o feminist episode of "Electro-Woman and Dyna Girl."
