Hubby has Guard this weekend, and will for the most part be MIA from very early in the morning Saturday, until Sunday evening. I will be quite surprised if we see him at all on Saturday as he has evening things he will need to do then. I think I'm going to try to do some holiday baking during that time. The kids love to help with making cookies, so I will probably do that first. Then, as their attention wanders I will start in on the breads and cakes.
I love baking, and the wonderful scents that fill my home on baking days. I hate the temptation they offer though! All those wonderful yummies just waiting to be tasted to be sure they are not poisonous. All the experimenting with recipes, then having to taste the final product to see if it is a keeper or not. Every year my famous last words are Not this year!
Perhaps this will be the year? Or not.
