There was a White Elephant party today for the local Great Dane Rescue. It is always enjoyable being around people who understand what it is to live with Great Danes.
I got to get snuggles from about 8 other Great Danes, and had good conversation with people who don't shirk from more ah... delicate subjects. Conversations that would not be typical in polite society are so much more interesting! One gal entertained us with the story of how she got kicked out of a restaurant for having a discussion about a Black Bitch with the big chest and long legs. People who are not dog people have no sense of humor about using the word Bitch.
