He does seem to have a bladder or kidney infection as we saw blood in his urine last night. It was clear and yellow when we got home from the pound early yesterday, but had blood in it in the evening. I will see if I can get him into the vet this morning. Hopefully I will be able to get him in before his appointment at the grooming shop. He has an appointment for a severe haircut and flea bath today!
The kids are so excited about this dog. He is smaller and furrier than Indigo, which, in their terms, makes him cuddlier. They called their Grandpa last night hoping to get a name for him then. He is still mulling over names of choice. We recommended Couch Potato or Spud, on top of the ones we suggested yesterday, but Mom shot them down. Go figure! Personality wise, he is more like a Jake, or Jack, maybe Max or Bear, possibly even a Rocky/Rocco or Bud/Buddy.
He is too funny to watch relax. I'm used to Indigo, who daintly chooses a location, circles and carefully lays down. This dog just flops down wherever, stretching his hind legs out behind him, and his front legs out in front of him with his stomach flat on the floor. He looks like a bearskin rug. He seems particularly fond of the kitchen floor rather than the rug. I think it is cooler on his tummy.
