I've been turning over in my mind about the Trick-or-Treat aspect of Halloween. As parents, we teach our children to not take candy from strangers, but on Halloween we send them up to the door of a stranger to take candy.
Ya just gotta laugh at it.
Every year, before our kids get into it, Hubby and I inspect each and every item from the nights "take". It is not uncommon for us to throw out close to half of what they have for one reason or another. If it looks like it was tampered with, into the trash it goes.
We only let the kids go out into familiar neighborhoods, and in all likelood nothing is wrong with anything, but we just can't take that chance.
