We think the housing issue is tentatively resolved. The person who doubted the legitimacy has been put in contact with all the people who know the facts. Hopefully this will put to rest her question of our housing.
Now if we can just get Hubby's pay situation ironed out, all will be well! It seems starting last January his pay should have fallen under a different category. This category would put him in a situation to be paid more money each month. Right now our income classifies us for food stamps, although we do not take advantage of it. Once the powers that be get their act in gear and he starts being paid what he is supposed to be paid, we should actually be able to pay all our bills and climb out of debt. I think what we are looking forward to the most on this is the promised back pay. This should be a tidy sum, most of which will go into savings. There is a HUGE possibility that we will have to move next January, and this should give us enough to cover moving costs.
Well, enough of that, on to less depressing thoughts than money....
I have a package I want to get in the mail today for #1. I just need to finish packing it then head over to the post office. While there I suppose I will buy quite a few 1 cent stamps to make up the difference for all the old stamps I have. It will be nice when the Post Office goes longer between rate hikes in stamps so I don't have to do that as often! It seems that every time I buy a roll of stamps, the price goes up within a month or two.
After that I think I will make it my project for the day to dig out my desk. I know there are several things somewhere in this mountain of paperwork and stuff that are important. I just can't remember what or where they are in this mess! I'm also pretty sure there is a printer on this desk somewhere. Perhaps I will find it.
