The church we test drove today did not have a children’s church, so #2 & #3 sat with us. They were remarkably well behaved, and were rewarded at the store afterwards by getting to choose a treat.
I'm not sure how I felt about the sermon. While I agreed with and appreciated the message, the delivery was in a format I am unaccustomed to. My family tends towards the conservative type of faiths. We call ourselves Lutherans, but are comfortable in just about any similar type of congregation.
The Chaplain today I suspect came from a predominately Baptist background. While I can appreciate good speaking as much as the next person, the cadence today's sermon was delivered in was much more dynamical than I am used to. That is not necessarily bad, I was just unprepared for it.
We will be test driving several churches in the next few weeks, then vote as a family as to which we all liked the best.
It should be entertaining, to say the least!
