I also picked up the Mazda from my brother to bring back up here. This is a third car that we keep on hand for my folks to drive when they visit from Alaska, or for us to use when there are mechanical problems with our two rigs.
Bro had some basic insurance information for the car and that was about it. I figured I would talk whomever was at the Base entrance into letting me bring the car to my place in housing until I could get it registered to myself on Monday. I grabbed what I thought was the current registration and the insurance information and headed over to get a temp pass.
When the military police looked at the registration, they asked if I knew that it expired 11 years ago. Duh. Silly me looked at the date '91 and in my mind it was last year.
SO........we found a place to park it off base until we can get everything ironed out. Fun times, let me tell you......NOT.
Off to marinate the steaks now.....
Superbowl Sunday
Superbowl Sunday. The one day of the year when I can justify the consumption of junk food for meals. I do insist on a normal breakfast. Lunch and dinner however usually consist of various chips, dips and soda's.
This year I am breaking the tradition (slightly). Lunch will still be junky, but I found steaks at the store at far too good of a price to pass up, so junk food will be followed by a steak dinner!
