Of Mouse and Great Danes
Fri Jan 18 2002

I don't know how many people out there in cyberland can truly appreciate having dogs.

I have two BEAUTIFUL Great Danes (that if I ever remember I will whip out the digital camera and take GOOD pictures of them). These beautiful babies are my only "kids" who actually listen to me and (most of the time) do what I say.

While I love them and can't imagine having any other breed of dog, Danes have one disadvantage. They are at just the right height to walk up behind you as you type on the computer, and nudge their noses between your arm and your body, then lift it up so your arm is now high in the air. (I believe franisbueno has experienced this a time or two...)

The way my computer is situated, this always happens to my mouse hand. This unfortunately occasionally causes me to click on something I had no intention of clicking on, and on one or two occasion has opened up internet sites that has generated quite a few questions from my children ("Mommy, why don't those people have clothes on and what is she doing to that man" type of questions.)

I am now on the lookout for a "net nanny" so inadvertent clicking does not open these pages. If ANYONE who reads this can offer some suggestions, I would love you forever!
