The past few years, I start out gung-ho trying to get into shape. Last year I tweaked my right knee, I'm not sure how badly as I didn't go to the doctor. The year before I re-tore the cruciate ligament in my right knee that I tore the year before. Each time I've been trying to get back into running.
I tried the couch to 5K, which takes it nice and slow. I decided to listen to my knee this year and gear it back to an even slower plan. I'm just walking. I'm not going to attempt a run any time soon.
I've been able to get to the YMCA 3 times this week, each time only walking two miles on the indoor track. This is my plan for now. After a few weeks of doing this three times a week I will either increase the frequency of going to the Y, or increase the distance. Which option remains to be seen depending on my schedule, and most importantly on my knee.
But it's NOT a resolution. Really.
