At work, they will be sending me to a training class and a conference for Computer Security subjects. In addition to this I'm studying on my own with the hopes of getting to the point where I can take one or two of the certification tests out there.
We're also struggling with #3 trying to get him to see the scholastic light and turn around his study habits and tendency of doing homework then not turning it in. It's exhausting to have to keep on him so aggressively every day on this. I see a friend just mention to her kids to be sure to do their homework, and that works. We do that with #3 and we're not so lucky. We have to print out his homework assignments daily, and basically stand behind him while he tries to get out of doing the work. Every day. I'm developing a flat spot on my head from beating it against the table while stnding over #3.
Hubby has been dealing with a torn rotator cuff and torn labrum since December 2008. He can't have the surgery to repair it until he regains mobility, and it is slow going getting there. We just make sure to have a ginormous bag of hash browns on hand in the freezer so he can ice it really well after doing his stretches.
We're also dealing with the emotional ups and downs of #2's relationship. He and his girlfriend seem to fight constantly, breaking up and getting back together about as often as some people change socks. Or so it seems. Day to day I never know if I will be dealing with happy #2 or depressed #2.
OK, I'm off now to watch Clark Howard to try and figure out how to save money more efficiently. Later!
