I chuckled my way through the entry because you answered it with your usual humor!

RYC: I have read the book but I did so several years after having seen the movie for the first time but strangely enough, it wasn't the first Clancy novel I'd read. I think I came into the series with 'A Clear and Present Danger' and had to read back from there. Since then I've read probably 90% of the fiction that Clancy has written (by himself, not the hybred series with co-authors) and maybe 50% of the non-fiction.

    Ragarding you question:
I'm no expert by any means. But I have done this now with several meats and it really makes a difference.

You cook at a slow heat for several hours. That draws out and liquifies the cartledge in the meat, giving a better flavor. Then the cooling allows it to reabsorb and be really tender and juicy.
