#1 should be at the book store with his cousin about now, attending the Potter Party. They will be buying their copies of the book as soon after 12:01 as they can, and I suspect he will not sleep until he has finished the book.

I am having a copy delivered here to the house, and will pass the time tomorrow morning making jam until it arrives. That should keep me busy!

Bro and friend will be arriving here sometime after midnight to crash for the night. They are attending a concert tonight and don't want to fall asleep on the 3 hour drive home. I've got #1's room made up for them, hopefully they will be able to sleep relatively soundly. That translates to I hope my snoring doesn't keep them awake!

I've said it before, and it's true. I snore. I'm not alone in this nocturnal noise-making. Hubby can hold his own, and the kids show great promise of rattling windows when they get older. I tend to snore more when my allergies are acting up, and today (unfortunately) is one of those days. I've thoroughly doused myself with antihistamine, hopefully it will lessen the symptoms before I head off to slumberland.

Don't feel so bad, Allimom. I snore loud myself to the point that I wake myself up at night from time to time. I do have a tendency to sleep soundly too. I believe my snoring comes from both sides of the family.

My husband was a snorer. I frequently slept on the sofa which was on the far side of the living room from the far side of the bedroom. Even with the bedroom door closed, I could still hear him, but at least he wasn't rattling my pillow.

My daughter says I have a lady-like snore, but to be truthful, I have wakened myself.

    Bless the day
