Moment of Triumph
Thu Feb 08 2007

I'm not done with school for about another 4 weeks, but I'm done with paying for it.

Today I made my last payment for this term's tuition, and the realization hit me, I don't have to pay for any terms after this. The best part of it all? I somehow managed to get through college (OK, I'm not through yet, but close enough) without taking out any student loans, or any other type of financial aid. With my GI bill, very generous help from my parents, and Hubby's hard work, we paid for college with no loans.

As we are still paying on Hubby's student loans (he graduated December 2003) my not having those hanging over my head is more of a relief than you can imagine!

Congrats! I'll have some nasty loans, while my boyfriend does not (unless he gets into vet school), so I'm glad to hear that you made it without them. Student loans are evil.

That's a big WOW!! Congratulations on being student-loan-free. With the cost of education, that's some achievement!!

Congrats. I know how hard it is to pay as you go. We have been handling our daughter's education and living expences on a pay as you go basis. We're nearing the home stretch... only two more terms to freedom.
