Baby It's C-C-COLD Outside!
Tue Oct 31 2006

Today was my first day of actual work, absolutely no sitting in front of a computer doing training. I was there from 7 to 2 and saw most of what I will be doing on a daily basis. It wasn’t too bad. The worst part of the day started at 6:20 when I went out to warm up the car. It was 22 degrees (Fahrenheit… that’s -5 for you Celsius types out there.) outside. I had the twins take turns sitting in the car for several minutes until it was toasty warm and the windows were defrosted.

My school-day morning routine on the days I will be working has me dropping the twins off at their bus stop, and a timer set for #3 for when he has to leave the house 10 minutes after I leave. He puts Stormy in her crate then bundles out and heads to his bus stop. This way I manage to keep the three boys from being in the house alone together, thereby eliminating the potential skirmishes between the three boys.

Today it went as smooth as silk. We will see again on Thursday if it will continue to go as smoothly. I’m keeping my fingers, eyes and toes crossed that it does.

I’ve discovered today that #2 is in touch with his feminine side. He had an outburst that, were he a girl, could only be attributed to PMS. Shortly after the outburst he was back to his less extreme self. I’ve never seen mood swings like that in anyone but pre-menstrual girls. I would say that is a good indication that he is firmly in touch with his feminine side.

That alone made me very glad that I have three boys and NOT three girls.

Sounds like you've got the new plan of attack all under control and I'm very impressed :)

Hope you enjoy the new job :)

Check with your mother about that girl thing. You might have some apologizing to do.

I had two boys and one girl. Got along nicely with the boys. Always thought it was because I just got along better with boys. Maybe I need to rethink that.

Oh, glad the work went so well. Terrible to have to go to work and hate it.

Getting up that early makes you doubly glad you got rid of those neighbors. I'm a few hours ahead of you but stagger out of bed at the same time. It's horrible!

    Elitist.

    That's it.

Thanks for the tip. I looked up rent a center and there is one not far from here. Next time I am in their neighborhood, I might stop by....

RYC to ImNotLisa: Be glad for the boob smasher. I know...it's not comfortable and almost as undignified as the Cold Instrument exam. But IT SAVES LIVES.

However, and thankfully, I don't have to do that any more. Nothing left to smash. Heehee!
