More Porject Pictures & Placement of The Pup

OK, I got another "finished" picture of the painted area with better light:

And here is the porch extension we've been working on:

As you can see, just the corners and the area around the clean-out need to be finished up when the replacement rotozip gets here.

In addition to those projects, we also built a (for lack of a better word) sprinkler system for the front and back yard. Now, instead of moving the sprinkler 6 times, we only have to turn it on once in the front and once in the back. No more timer setting, and running in and out at the whim of the clock to ensure the entire yard gets watered.

We did a couple other little projects, and after this last week I think Hubby is ready to go back to work in order to get a rest!

Today #1, #3 and myself took a drive with Shelby. She has eaten her last cell phone in our house. I contacted the Brittany Rescue folks, and surrendered her to them for placement in a home that has no cell phones and doesn't keep dish cloths on their counters. After a few recent antics on her part, Hubby said that it was either him or the dog. Since they don't have a Husband Rescue organization, I contacted the Brittany folks.

Shelby is on her way to a better home and life, and we don't have to worry about our cell phones again.

My dog ate everything not tied down. Walls, carpets, tore the skirt off an old couch (made it look better actually), blue pen on a white carpet... Oh man. THought we wouldn't make it but we did. He had a delayed puppy phase.

I can emphathize with the last straw but I ran out of things to chew so me and the dog made it alright.

    May Shelby meet her match.

In BOTH senses of the word!

    ;-)

Love the porch extension idea by the way. Inspiring.

That porch extension is very attractive.

Too bad you had to return Shelby. But there comes a time to holler I QUIT!!! Maybe she'd do well on a farm where she could be useful and run off all that energy.

So now Stormy is the Only Dog. How long will that last?

    Shalom

Sometimes, it just has to happen. They will find her a nice place to live, and hopefully they don't have cell phones.

Our dog steals dish towels as well. She will also steal underwear, socks, pillows, and about anything else she can. I almost thought she was headed there myself when she ate one of my dad's workboots. But, she's staying.

One day, I'm going to be a part of the Brittany Rescue. I'm just glad to see that it works, and people will bring their dogs in when enough is enough.

Sorry you had to give up Shelby, but it sounds like the best solution for all of you.

    Dear Stormy,
Thingy kept trying to give me "treats" during the ordeal but I just thought she was trying to poison me in case the drowning didn't work *sigh*. I'll know better next time......

    Thanks for the advice,

I love to porch extension; what a wonderful idea.

Too bad about Shelby; that could not have been an easy decision, but it no doubt was the best one. Hopefully they will find her a perfect cell phone free home.
