Alive & Well
Mon Jun 05 2006

I'm alive & well, but haven't been very talkative lately. Mostly I’ve been reading. Reading my textbook, e-mail, my textbook, diaries, my textbook, news, my textbook… you get the idea.

It isn’t really that there is a LOT of reading to do with this course, it’s just so mind numbingly boring at this point that it is painful to read. It should start getting interesting in the next chapter or two, but right now the review of everything goes far beyond tedium.

I’m also finding it hard to focus on my reading with Shelby in the house. She has discovered how to get ice out of the freezer on her own. While this is a never ending source of amusement for her, it is driving me bonkers. Fortunately there is a lock-out feature for both the water and ice on the front of the fridge, but it often is not turned on until after Shelby has a few dozen ice cubes skittering across the kitchen floor.

Well, at least my floor is getting mopped frequently!

A side note here, probably of interest to nobody outside of chocoholics and ice-creamaholics, Ben & Jerry's has a new flavor of ice cream, VerMonty Python. In a word...YUM!

I splurge on Ben & Jerry's occasionally. I'll keep that flavor in mind.

I used to have a dog that would beg for ice cubes. Any time I made a drink with ice cubes, she had to have two. One wasn't enough. More than two was too much. The third cube was just too much cold for her. But I didn't have a dispenser, so she had to wait for me to be at the fridge.

Dogs and ice cubes, ice cubes and dogs. They're nearly inseperable. Kind of like kids and the boxes their toys come in on Christmas morning. ;o)

The image of your dog helping herself to ice cubes from the freezer....

    Well, that's just funny.

You should take a video of it and send it to America's Funniest Animals. ;-)

    Silly doggie.

I miss having Candi's dog here. She used to love to eat ice and everytime one fell to the floor, she was right there.
