MIL Crisis 2006
Wed May 03 2006

That title makes it sound like a bad lead in to a major news story, but it was all I could come up with in the state of mind I'm in right now.

Hubby got home last night and is down with MIL & SIL today. MIL looks thin and weak, but I got the impression from him that he was expecting worse.

She has eaten a very little bit yesterday and today. SIL hopes that she will continue to do this and perhaps increase her intake little by little. Hubby isn’t sure what to expect.

He is waiting for a couple phone calls to see whether he can get back into his school and still graduate on time next week. We don’t know anything yet, and won’t until he gets the calls. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that whatever word comes down, he is comfortable with it.

His aunt (MIL’s sister) flies into town this weekend to see her, and I know that will be good for both MIL and SIL. Family support is important at times like this, and the more family, the better.

Do your families get together from time to time? Holidays?

In some families it takes a serious illness to get people together. Nice thing about living in a small town is that we see each other all the time. Big city another story. Well, I hope your MIL takes a turn for the better.

    Shalom

I do so hope that hubby can still graduate next week - he is SO close! I'm sure MIL wouldn't have wanted him to miss such a huge opportunity.
Will be thinking of you all.

You should have the paper as you read this. There weren't a lot of corrections. Some editing is a matter of *my* preference. You may want to check with the instructor about pagination and heading style.

There is no better cure than having family around.
