In Discrete Math last night we received our take-home mid-term. This morning in Statistics we take our mid-term. Later today #1 and I start obedience classes with Hellby. Somewhere in all of that I need to do some yard work, and it wouldn’t hurt if I found a way to get my van washed today too (although I think I may take the easy route with that and go to a car wash).
Hubby, #2 and #3 have a CAP thingamajig that goes most of the day, so I will be taking #1 with me to school this morning. He loves this as it gives him the opportunity to hang out in the library all morning and read or surf the web to his heart’s content. I’ve gotta say, I really like it that #1 and #2 are such avid readers. I wish I could find a way to entice #3 to read more. He is completely uninterested in reading though.
Right now I’m tossing some things together in the crock pot to simmer all day for dinner tonight. I don’t have exactly all the ingredients for what I want to make, so I’m winging it. Wine is replacing chicken broth, tomato sauce replaces V-8 juice, and some slightly different meat items are being substituted for the chicken drumsticks and turkey sausage. I think it will work well though. Cat tastes like chicken… right?
Just kidding. I have not ever, nor intend to sample cat meat. If Shelby doesn’t shape up with obedience classes however, we may get to try dog.
Hopefully tests in the future won't be as intense now I know what to inspect from this instructor as far as testing goes.
The test was 11 pages long, and that sucker took me a little more than 3 hours to take. I walked out of it with not a clue as to how I did. My instructor asked me, and I answered that I was reasonably sure I got 50%, tentatively sure I got at or above a 70%, and desperately hopeful that I got above a 90%.
I honestly don't know how I did. I'll find out next Saturday though.
Now I get to concentrate my efforts on my midterm for my discrete math class. It is a take home test, and no where near as long as this morning's test. There are only 7 questions (of which we only have to do 6 of the questions) but I have no doubt that they will take me longer to do than all the problems on this morning's test. Let the fun begin!
OK, maybe not.
On another note, as I mentioned before today was Shelby's first day of class. She had a blast. What shocked and amazed me was that she was much calmer at class than she normally is at home. I suppose some of it was intimidation over unfamiliar surrounds, we will see if it lasts. #1 had a blast also, and is excited to be doing this.
Now I'm off to find food. I'm fairly sure there is some stew in the fridge, unless one of the twins found it first that is.
