TING!
Sat Jun 18 2005

Ah, the sweet sound of success! I made strawberry jam earlier, and now I’m sitting back listening to the jars TING! as they seal. It is quite satisfying, if I do say so.

I’ve still got 10 pints of strawberries left to make into jam, but it is time to stop for the day. My feet are killing me.

I took the boys to see Batman Begins earlier today, and it was definitely enjoyed by everyone. I think the boys all agreed that their favorite character was the car. Although #1 wavered a bit towards Katie Holmes, but he is at the age where any cute girl is his favorite character.

We had no illusions that it would be a contender for an Oscar, but it is a fun movie. A Batman with a cute tushy doesn’t hurt the movie either! I’m also a fan of Gary Oldman, so that almost automatically guaranteed that I would enjoy at least the scenes he was in. Actually there was only one part of the movie that I thought could’ve been left on the editing floor, and even then it wasn’t too annoying of a scene. I must also add that Michael Caine made an excellent Alfred.

#2 has continued to have his ups and downs since the other day. Most of the downs are directly connected to his exposure to #3. I have been focusing on keeping the two separated as much as possible to help ward off anything too extreme. I haven’t had to break out the duct tape yet, so that is a good sign.

I don't recall seeing the 4400 listed in my TV book. What's it about, what network?

According to the local reviews, Batman Begins is probably a movie I'm going to see. I don't generally go to movies; I hate the cost. And I always manage to sit in front of chatterboxes. Aarrgghh!! For this I pay money?

    Shalom

PS: Homemade strawberry jam? To die for.

After seeing the trailer, we're thinking of seeing Batman Begins, mainly because Liam Neeson's in it. I so enjoy watching him, whatever he's in.

Hmm, what's the opposite of TING? GNIT doesn't quite do it. Maybe SHWUCH? That's the sound of the first jar of bottled quinces being opened :-) And very nice they are, too.

Homemade strawberry jam: yum. I haven't had that in a long time.
